The view from the back porch

Sitting in the kitchen, peering out the back, it's such a lovely view. Watching the snow slowly falling gives such a calming effect. Sometimes it's so hard to remember to slow down and enjoy the simple things in life; the spring and summer gives more reason to "stop and smell the roses" if you know what I mean. But the winter doesn't provide too many of those wondrous luxuries.
The snow collecting on the pond, wow, we can tell where the deep end starts!
